Privacy Policy
BrokerGo is a product of VCAP Connect Pty Ltd (ABN 88 674 243 362), of 189 Toorak Road, South Yarra VIC 3141, Australia. In this policy, “BrokerGo”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to VCAP Connect Pty Ltd trading as BrokerGo.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using brokergo.com.au or the BrokerGo platform, you agree to the handling of your information as described here.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to two groups:
- Brokers, meaning the mortgage and finance professionals who hold an account with BrokerGo and use the platform to build websites, capture leads, run marketing, and manage their business.
- Visitors and leads, meaning the members of the public who interact with a broker's BrokerGo website or forms, including people who submit an enquiry or a fact find.
Where a broker uses BrokerGo to collect information from their own clients and leads, the broker is responsible for that information as its controller, and BrokerGo processes it on the broker's behalf to deliver the service.
Information we collect
Account information from brokers. When you create a BrokerGo account we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, business address, and licensing details such as ABN, ACN, ACL and credit representative number. We also collect billing information, which is processed by our payment provider and not stored in full by us.
Content you create. We store the websites, pages, campaigns, templates and other content you build within BrokerGo.
Information collected through your forms. When a member of the public submits an enquiry, lead form or fact find on a broker's BrokerGo website, we collect and store the information they provide. This can include name, contact details, and financial and loan related information. We hold this on behalf of the relevant broker so they can respond and manage the enquiry.
Technical information. We automatically collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring source, and similar analytics. We use cookies and similar technologies for this purpose.
Information from connected services. When a broker connects a third party account to BrokerGo, such as a Meta or Google advertising account, an email account, or a messaging service, we access the information those services make available to us under the permissions you grant, solely to provide the features you have asked for.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, host and maintain the BrokerGo platform and a broker's published websites
- capture and manage leads and fact finds on a broker's behalf
- send communications on a broker's behalf, such as welcome emails and follow ups, where the broker has configured them
- create, manage and report on advertising campaigns where a broker has connected and authorised an advertising account
- provide analytics and reporting to brokers about their websites and campaigns
- process payments and manage subscriptions
- provide customer support and respond to enquiries
- improve and develop our products and services
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Advertising platforms and connected accounts
Where a broker connects a Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising account or a Google advertising account, we access advertising and account data through those platforms' official interfaces only to the extent needed to create, manage and report on that broker's campaigns. We use this access only for the broker who granted it, and we comply with the platform terms and developer policies of Meta and Google. We do not use data obtained through these connections for any purpose other than delivering the features the broker has requested.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information.
We share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the platform, including our database and hosting provider, our deployment provider, our email delivery provider, and our messaging provider. These providers act on our instructions.
- Aggregators and lenders, where a broker chooses to send a lead or fact find onward through the platform.
- Advertising platforms, namely Meta and Google, where a broker has connected an account to run campaigns.
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent harm.
Where your information is stored
Our primary database and application infrastructure are hosted in Australia, in Sydney. Information you and your leads provide is stored there. Some connected third party services, such as advertising and messaging platforms, may process limited information outside Australia as an inherent part of how those global platforms operate. Where information is processed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled appropriately.
How we protect information
We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information using current industry practices.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the service and to meet our legal, accounting and reporting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de identify it.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. If you are a member of the public whose information was collected through a broker's website, you should also contact that broker directly, as they control that information.
To make a request, or to make a privacy complaint, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember your preferences, and understand how our sites are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Children
BrokerGo is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
